ROUND 1: RALLY SERRAS DE FAFE 

  • Where: Fafe, Portugal

  • When: 10 – 12 March

  • Surface: Gravel

  • First ERC appearance: 2021

  • Most wins: Andreas Mikkelsen, Nil Solans (x1)

  • Fast fact: Rallying is such a big deal in Fafe that it has a museum, the Museu do Rali, celebrating the sport’s long-standing link to the town.

ROUND 2: RALLY ISLAS CANARIAS

  • Where: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

  • When: 4 – 6 May

  • Surface: Asphalt

  • First ERC appearance: 1982

  • Most wins: Carlos Sainz (x5)

  • Fast fact: The rally boasts a number of prominent former winners including Didier Auriol, Piero Liatti and Carlos Sainz, who claimed five consecutive victories in the 1980s.

ROUND 3: ORLEN 79 RALLY POLAND

  • Where: Mikołajki, Poland

  • When: 19 – 21 May

  • Surface: Gravel

  • First ERC appearance: 1960

  • Most wins: Sobiesław Zasada (x4)

  • Fast fact: Second oldest rally in the world behind Rallye Monte-Carlo, originally ran on Tarmac in the south of the country before its move north to Mikołajki and to gravel in 2005.

ROUND 4: RALLY LIEPĀJA

  • Where: Liepāja, Latvia

  • When: 16 – 18 June

  • Surface: Gravel

  • First ERC appearance: 2013

  • Most wins: Nikolay Gryazin (x3)

  • Fast fact: Oliver Solberg is the event’s youngest winner after taking top spot in 2019 aged 17 years, eight months and three days. In fact, the result made him the youngest ERC event winner.

ROUND 5: ROYAL RALLY OF SCANDINAVIA

  • Where: Karlstad, Sweden

  • When: 6 – 8 July

  • Surface: Gravel

  • First ERC appearance: 2023

  • Most wins: New event

  • Fast fact: This ERC newcomer is essentially a gravel version of Sweden’s WRC counter when it used to take place in the Värmland region. That means the famous Colin’s Crest Arena should be part of the route.

ROUND 6: RALLY DI ROMA CAPITALE

  • Where: Fiuggi, near Rome, Italy

  • When: 28 – 30 July

  • Surface: Asphalt

  • First ERC appearance: 2017

  • Most wins: Giandomenico Basso (x2)

  • Fast fact: Rome’s famous Colosseum provided a stunning backdrop to the opening superspecial in the Eternal City.

ROUND 7: BARUM CZECH RALLY ZLÍN

  • Where: Zlín, Czech Republic

  • When: 18 – 20 August

  • Surface: Asphalt

  • First ERC appearance: 1984

  • Most wins: Jan Kopecký (x8)

  • Fast fact: Zlín’s rise from small town to big city is credited to Tomáš Bat’a, who founded a shoe factory there in 1894. His old office – located in a moving elevator – is preserved in event HQ.

ROUND 8: RALLY HUNGARY

  • Where: Nyíregyháza, Zemplén region, Hungary

  • When: 6 – 8 October 

  • Surface: Asphalt

  • First ERC appearance: 2019

  • Most wins: Frigyes Turán, Andreas Mikkelsen, Mads Østberg (x1)

  • Fast fact: As well as hosting the ERC season decider, Nyíregyháza is famous for its zoo, which is home to some 500 species and 5000 animals on a 30-hectare site.
