Please keep in mind the following information, and your rally experience will not only be exciting but also safe!
We are all here to get as close as possible to the cars, the action, and enjoy the race. However, rallying takes place within strict regulations, and there is no room for errors. Read the safety information, follow the instructions of the marshals and the officials! Take care of each other and have a great time!
Motorsport can be dangerous – that’s why we need your help. Competitors may encounter mechanical issues or other reasons that prevent them from keeping their cars on the road. It’s crucial for you, as a spectator, to know where you stand. The following graphics show the dangerous areas where it’s prohibited to be.
Safety instructions
Please thoroughly study the following safety information and the accompanying illustrations to ensure that your visit to the race is safe at all times!
Find your sweet spot in time!
During the 2 hours before the start of every Stage, a Safety Caravan cover the stage to ensure the conditions for safe operation. We ask you to find your spot at the Spectator Areas at least 30 minutes before the start! Afterwards, it is prohibited and life-threatening to enter the track!
Stay only at Spectator Areas!
We kindly ask you to observe the rally only from the Spectator Areas marked with green tape! These areas will be equipped with services, hospitality and additional programs. Standing with your back to the track or lying down is also prohibited! Stay tuned and aware of what is happening!
Stay alert during the rally at all times!
Before your departure, please check the weather forecast, dress for the season, wear comfortable shoes, and arrive on time, counting with parking and possible walking time! In the event of an unexpected evacuation, follow the instructions of the authorities, marshalls, and security staff!
Do not go to No Go Zones
It is prohibited and life-threatening to stay in areas closed off to spectators marked with “No Go Zone” signs and red tape! Within these areas, it is strictly forbidden and life-threatening to watch the race on the outside of turns, near jumps and chicanes, as well as on areas lower than the track level!
Where you should never stay
It is prohibited and life-threatening to stand in front of barriers and walls, behind or in front of road barriers and trees because they cannot stop an uncontrollable race car. Flying stones are also hazardous in No Go Zones! Always check the fastest way for evacuation in advance!
Follow the instructions of the officials!
We kindly ask you to always follow the instructions of the authorities, marshalls, and security staff for the safety of themselves and the participants. Failure to comply with the rules can lead to danger, and to avoid this, Special Stages may be delayed or cancelled.
Do not climb on anything!
It is prohibited and life-threatening to climb trees, barriers, fences, lamp posts, bales, tire walls, chicanes, and other natural or installed infrastructure surrounding the Special Stage!
Do not light fires and protect the nature!
Fire lighting is prohibited on the rally area! We kindly ask you to protect the environment, move only on the designated route, stay at Spectator Areas marked with green tape, do not litter, and collect the waste in the provided bags!
It is prohibited to take away metal objects!
Taking away metal objects (such as car parts or bullet casings in military areas) from the area is prohibited as it poses an increased risk of accidents! If you find such objects, please inform the marshals or security staff! Entry into areas closed off to spectators marked with signs and red tape is strictly prohibited and life-threatening!
Safety Caravan
During the 2 hours preceding the start of the Special Stage, several Safety Cars, the so-called Safety Caravan will complete the stage and check the conditions for the safe operation. Please ensure that you occupy your place at the Spectator Areas no later than 30 minutes before the start! Follow the instructions of the marshals and the officials, and if necessary, seek their help!
Info Car
Through the loudspeaker, the audience is informed that the start time of the Special Stage is approaching. Please take your spot at the Spectator Area!
Chief Security Officer
The Chief Security Officer checks whether the conditions for launching the Special Stage are met, and if necessary, intervenes to restore order.
Police
The police car closely follows the Info Car and the Chief Security Officer’s car, with its personnel ensuring the safety of the participants and the spectators.
Safety Car (000)
The “triple zero” is the first Safety Car before the start. Please take your spots at the Spectator Area before the car arrives! Movement between the start and the finish is not allowed thereafter!
FIA Safety Delegate
The FIA Safety Delegate verifies if the Special Stage is suitable for starting the rally. In case of abnormalities, he or she may postpone or cancel the completion of the stage.
Safety Car (00)
They drive at an increased pace along the Special Stage but intervene if necessary to ensure the safety of the stage. Movement between the start and the finish is not permitted!
Zero Car (0)
Non-competitive rally car, which travels at a speed close to race pace. It intervenes if necessary to ensure the safety of the stage. Movement between the start and the finish is not permitted!
Rally cars
After the Safety Caravan, the rally cars are continuously started from the start time of the Special Stage. It is strictly forbidden and hazardous to be outside the designated Spectator Areas!
Sweeper car
Within 5-10 minutes after the last rally car, it departs and collects the reports from the marshals. After the Sweeper car, public movement is permitted according to the instructions of the marshals!
